Oct 29-Nov 1The Great Big Boo! | Miniature World of Trains. Wear your Halloween costume and get in for just $3 at the Miniature World of Trains (West End of Greenville across from Falls Park).

 Oct 29 – Community Tap.  Crooked Stave & Jolly Pumpkin Flight Night!! 5:30 – 8pm Pouring flights of both Crooked Stave & Jolly Pumpkin liquid creations! Go all in w/ Crooked Stave, Jolly Pumpkin, or mix and match b/tw these two stellar breweries!! All flights will be priced nice at $8 per flight so come and enjoy! Cheers!!!!

 Oct 31 –Trick-or-treating at Publix. It’s simple and some of the Publix stores even have small carnival games or activities set up. This year’s times are 4-7 p.m. Check with your local store to see if they are participating this year. (I have confirmed that Publix on Pelham and McBee are participating.) “It’s fun, not scary – you won’t hear a Boo; Get a coloring sheet and candy, too!”

Oct 31Little Monsters Night | Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery. Come dressed up for a night of fun at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery, on Halloween from 4-6. Ages 6 and under are invited to enjoy a scavenger hunt (4:30 p.m.), costume contest, pin the spider on the web, snacks, a mystery box, music and story time. See website for more details.

Oct 31 – Greenville Humane Society Halloween Costume Contest. 4 – 5pm. at the Humane Society on Airport Rd. 2 legged and 4 legged friends invited! $5 donation for each pet entered. All proceeds benefit the foster program. Win a 2 hour pet photo session! Raffle tickets are $5. Prizes for Best in Show, Scariest in Show, Sweetest in Show.

Oct 31Earle Street Parade – For North Main residents with small children, if you want to participate in the parade, please be at the west end of Earle Street by 6:15 pm.  (We have not confirmed this time or received updated information but will post it if we do.)

Oct 31 – Soda Shop/Other Side Halloween Party. Costume contest with winners. Please bring an appetizer to share. Costumes are optional.

Oct 31 Mall-Wide Trick or Treating. Haywood Mall. Trick-or-treating starting at 5pm. Participating stores will have a sign posted in their store front window. Join us in center court for fun games, face painting, a balloon artist, and music! Halloween photos will also be available for purchase in center court.

Nov 1 All Saints Bazaar. Christ Church Episcopal. Get some early Christmas shopping in while supporting great causes right here in our community. This year, proceeds from the Bazaar will be going to Canterbury Counseling Center, Greenville Interfaith Hospitality Network (GAIHN), Greenville Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Partners in Literacy Haiti.

There will be a variety of dishes, including breakfast items, appetizers, meat and meatless dishes. We will also have crab cakes for sale again this year! Come early to get your favorites!

The silent auction is back! Here are just a few of the great items you will be able to bid on:

The craft tables will have a lot to offer, including holiday wooden door hangers, beautiful Christmas ornaments, holiday pillows, handmade holiday cards, nativity scenes and more. Stock your cupboard with delicious goodies from our cupboard to make holiday entertaining a breeze! Some of the tasty items you’ll be able to choose from include peach yummy, cranberry chutney, pickled okra, artichoke pickle, fig preserves and black bean salsa. The ever popular knitted items are back, like American Girl clothing and college sweaters, baby items and bonnets. These are perfect gifts for the newborns and children in your lives! Kid’s Corner. There will be an area set up with face painting, balloons and more to keep the whole family entertained during the Bazaar!

 Nov 2Dahlia A Florist located at 303 E Stone Avenue will be having a family event. It will begin at 1pm and go till 4pm. Rain or Shine. There will be a dog costume contest with prizes. Live music and entertainment and concessions for purchase. All proceeds and any donations go to JDRF for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Please feel free to invite any friends and family as well as sharing with anyone you would like as our goal is to raise as much as we can for a cure for this nasty disease that effects all ages and races.
